  • Panagbenga Flower Festival of Baguio: The word “Panagbenga” is a word from the local Kankanaey language, which means “blooming.” The first festival was held in 1996 and was used as a means of recovering after the devastation that Baguio got from the earthquake of 1990. After that, more people started to come over to see one of the most colorful festivals in the country. In terms of media coverage, this event has the largest coverage every time and is also one of the most attended festivals in the country.

  • Pinatubo Trekking: Very few destinations in the world can rival what post-card worthy Mt. Pinatubo (Botolan, Zambales) unabashedly offers. It doesn't go gentle with you as it starts right away with a spine-realigning off-road ride on a field of lahar, which by the way is the biggest in the world! While trekking, you will be greeted by imposing ash walls. You will strain your neck in amazement gawking on the oddly formed lahar towers and their various shades of gray. When you look down, you will notice various colors on its stream waters caused by the minerals leached from the very active volcano --- yellow for sulfur, red for iron. The infamous crater lake, photographed probably a million times by visitors, is a show-stopper. Its turquoise-colored water mirroring the sky, looks like a gemstone from afar. And in many ways it is a precious jewelry and it's not just because of its incomparable beauty. Perhaps the real treasure here is the realization that the tragedy that was the eruption of Mount Pinatubo is now a source of hope and inspiration. A perfect life lesson we surely want to take-away while having a Mt. Pinatubo tour and bring back to the city.

  • Bangkok: is the capital and most populous city of Thailand. It is known in Thai as Krung Thep Maha Nakhon or simply Krung Thep. The city occupies 1,568.7 square kilometres (605.7 sq mi) in the Chao Phraya River delta in central Thailand and has a population of over eight million, 12.6 percent of the country's population. Over fourteen million people (22.2 percent) lived within the surrounding Bangkok Metropolitan Region at the 2010 census, making Bangkok the nation's primate city, dwarfing Thailand's other urban centres in both size and importance to the national economy.

  • Casas Filipinas de Acuzar Having been an avid antique and arts collector, Jose L. Acuzar grew a particular liking to local art works and pieces. He would collect old antiques from old houses or pieces of old houses that have been sold for parts.
Growing up in the region of Bataan, Acuzar felt a deep connection to the place and had come back for vacations to his hometown of Balanga frequently. He found land located in the fishing village of Bagac, Bataan, only an hour away from Balanga.
The 400-hectare estate overlooking a river was albeit ramshackle and mostly grassland. With a beachfront and surrounding mountainous views, Acuzar grew very fond of the property. He purchased the estate and built a country home with three bedrooms. The estate became a private vacation property for the family with horse stables and small modern cottages.
In 2008, Acuzar was offered parts of an old home in Cagayan Valley. It sparked an idea to him to purchase the entire house that was being dismantled, transferred, and rebuilt piece-by-piece in his estate in Bagac, Bataan. It simply began with the houses on stilts – Casas Cagayan.
In no time, he was offered heritage homes that were being sold. Using the same method of dismantle, relocate, and rebuild, Acuzar brought the heritage homes to his estate.
While the estate remained private, more and more people heard about what he was doing and the interest to see the heritage houses grew by the number. Acuzar saw an opportunity to make the property accessible to the public. To continue financing his work in restoring the heritage houses with costly repairs and refurbishments, the once private estate transformed into a resort business.
In 2010, Las Casas opened its doors to the public as a beach resort. As Acuzar grew his team of artisans, craftsmen, and craftswomen, the property grew and expanded into 63 heritage homes and 34 structures built in the style of old houses or buildings.
Today, Las Casas is a renowned resort and heritage destination that has garnered several awards and accolades throughout the past decade. The business is guided by its advocacies to initiate innovative ways to conserve the legacy of the heritage houses and to inspire pride in the traditions that shaped Filipino heritage.
